Xbox to use MSN video player?

That’s right — gamers. There seems to be a lot of interest for the MSN video player to be on the Xbox.

MSN’s Rob Crossen says that “what we’re doing here is taking MSN beyond what it has typically been known for.”

“An obvious place to tale MSN Video Player – given the quality of content that you are seeing on the platform – is the TV, and there are a number of ways that we could do that and in fact the challenge is prioritising so we’re looking at a number of opportunities.”

Crossen also said “there are a number of ways… widgets on internet connected TVs, we have our own products within the Microsoft network, Xbox and Windows Media Center for instance. There are a number of ways that we could choose to explore.”

Keep an eye out!

Internet usage tax?

This past week, a top Microsoft executive suggested a Internet tax to help defray the costs associated with computer security breaches and attacks.

Obviously.. most hacked computers are actually PC’s distributed by Microsoft, in which they’ve spent years and millions of dollars trying to fight the problem.

It’s not going anywhere.

Recently, Microsoft used a United States court system to shut down the Waledac botnet, introducing a new tactic in the battle against hackers, PCworld reports.

Microsoft says that there are 3.8 million, if not more, infected computers worldwide. It’s growing by the second.

What are your thoughts in a Internet usage tax? My personal opinion is NOT to go forward with it because it’s useless. There are tons of different computers out there that aren’t infected, for example, a Mac. People would not want to pay Internet tax just for Microsoft’s satisfaction.

Activision sued by former studio heads after firing

Two game studio heads fired by Activision are suing the video game publisher saying it let them go to avoid playing hefty royalties from the popular video game “Call of Duty,” MSNBC reports.

The lawsuit is in excess of 36 million dollars. It was filed in Los Angeles superior Court this past week.

Activision called the claims “meritless” and said its decision was justified, the video game publisher said on Thursday.

We’ll just have to wait and see what happens next.
